  1. Open this page on a touchscreen device: This test requires a device with a touchscreen. Open this page on your Android phone, iPhone, iPad, or any tablet. Desktop computers without touch screens will show a notice prompting you to switch to a mobile device.
  2. Place your fingers on the touch area: Tap the dashed touch area on screen. Start with one finger, then gradually add more. Each finger appears as a numbered circle. The "Current" counter shows how many fingers are currently touching, and the "Maximum" counter records your best result.
  3. Try to reach 10 simultaneous touches: Place all ten fingers on the screen at once (you may need a friend to help, or place your phone flat on a table).   2. Clean your screen: Dirt, oil, water, or a thick screen protector can interfere with capacitive touch sensing. Clean your screen with a microfiber cloth and try the test again. Remove any screen protectors if necessary for accurate results.
  3. Make sure all fingers are making good contact: Capacitive touchscreens require direct skin contact. If your fingers are very dry, cold, or calloused, they may not register. Try moisturizing your hands or warming them up. Also ensure you are touching the screen firmly and within the designated test area.
  4. Restart your device: A simple restart can resolve temporary touch driver issues. If your touchscreen is behaving erratically or missing touches, restart your phone or tablet and try the multi touch test again.
